LIFESTYLE:
Larger Than Life: Bhindi Jewelers Atlanta Showroom Reopens

Bhindi Jewelers Atlanta showroom at 1070 Oaktree Road in Decatur, Georgia, reopened on Feb. 9, after weeks of diligent and comprehensive renovations to its sophisticated yet comfortable environment. A Siliconeer report.

In addition to Bhindi’s latest trademark items of diamonds, gold and gemstones, the new face of Atlanta’s premiere jewelry showroom will boast over 300 watches on display, as well as an innovative customer lounge.

The newly refurbished Atlanta showroom has been nominated for an award for “Best Design/Architecture for a Jewelry Showroom,” and for good reason -- at 7,000 sq.ft. after its newly minted renovations, Bhindi Jewelers Atlanta is the largest jewelry showroom in the southeastern United States. The showroom is also digitally connected to Bhindi Jewelers other retail outlets, which offer well over 50,000 items in inventory.

A private event on Feb. 8, one day before the grand reopening, was held to celebrate the occasion. Vodka makers Grey Goose hosted the bar, and the elite guest list included Porsha Stewart from the hit reality TV show Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fisker Automotive displayed their newest cars for curious eyes.

This is only the latest leap for Bhindi Jewelers, which proudly claims a 70 year history of American jewelry retail. It was started by three brothers, Vinod, Jayent and Dhanesh Bhindi, in Fiji, but quickly moved to Artesia, Calif.

Their customer base was primarily Indo-Asian, but it didn’t take long for the quality of their items and dedication to customer service to propel their popularity across the nation. They quickly became authorized dealers of Rolex, and today boast tight professional relationships with Chanel, Breitling, Omega, Verragio, Mont Blanc and dozens more.

To meet the growing national demand of its unique brand and designs, the three Bhindi brothers opened up three fully operational stores across the United States -- the flagship location in Artesia, as well as San Fransisco and Atlanta. When the phenomenon of online shopping exploded, it took the jewelry market by storm and began enticing customers from home. Appropriately, Bhindi made their exclusive collection available online, and its website is currently among the country’s most popular jewelry websites.

Bhindi Jewelers has consistently been the number one stop for Bollywood icons, but in the last 25 years alone has won over many of Hollywood’s glitziest celebrities, from Madonna to Christina Aguilera to Jennifer Aniston. It is currently a proud and exclusive member of the American Gem Society, while its current generation of operations managers -- Sanat, Ronil, Hitesh, Nikhil, and Ashwin Bhindi, all within the tradition of the Bhindi family -- are all certified gemologists from the Gemological Institute of America.

The Bhindi family has made a point to establish its business as not only a trustworthy jewelry retailer, but also as a place of noteworthy architecture. The family has always prided itself on its three gorgeous, award-winning showrooms, which makes these latest renovations to its Atlanta store truly key to the essence of Bhindi’s identity.
