New Apartment Community Opens

Crescent Village is one of the largest Silicon Valley apartment communities to open in years and comes amid a tight market for renters. Crescent Village is part of Vision North San Jose, a city effort to advance jobs, homes and stores in North San Jose’s Innovation Triangle. It is a modern, amenity-rich community for tech professionals in walking distance to employers and light rail.

San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed and Councilmember Kansen Chu joined Irvine Company executives Kevin Baldridge and Andrew Goodman, Sept. 24, for grand opening and tours of visually stunning apartment community.

Youth Invited

In January 2013, Washington, D.C. will be the center of excitement as Americans celebrate the inauguration of the President and Vice President of United States of America.

Seventeen-year-old Bradly Ivan D'Souza, a senior at Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been selected to take part in this event due to his status as an alumnus of the Global Young Leaders Conference as a global scholar, the National Young Leaders Conference as a national scholar and being a member-cum-ambassador of the National Society of High School Scholars.

In the five-day event, Bradly will participate in two presentations by Condoleezza Rice and General Wesley Clark.

Bradly represented the Sycamore School District, participating in the World Choir Games 2012.

Community Award

Rasesh Parikh was honored at the Tri City Health Center Community awards, Aug. 9, for his achievement in healthy living practice. He guided many patients and also helped them achieve better health.

The award was presented by Eden Domingo, a TCHC official. The event was attended by Fremont city council members and state assembly members. California state senator Ellen Corbett was also present at the occasion.

Appointed Commissioner

Sai ‘Psychuck’ Manapragada was recently appointed commissioner for community services by the city of Hayward, Calif.

Sai also holds the Guinness record for the fastest piano player.

His job as commissioner will involve developing key initiatives to promote cultural diversity, allocating city budgets for community service, and design programs for the progress and economic growth of the community.
